NATIONAL FLAG UNFURLED AT NINE ZERO ON 66TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

Special prayers have been offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan

The National flag was unfurled at the MQM Head Office Nine Zero on the occasion of the 66th Independence Day of Pakistan and special prayers were offered for the security, stability and integrity of the country. Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar and member Mr Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari raised the flag on the mast. Other members of the Co-ordination Committee, MNAs, MPAs and office-bearers of different wings of the MQM were also present on the occasion.

After the unfurling of the flag special prayers were offered for the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement and the soldiers who embraced martyrdom in the fight against terrorism in the country. Prayers were also offered for the divine forgiveness of the people killed in the wave of lawlessness and terrorism that has swept Karachi. Prayers were also offered for peace and prosperity of the country and the good health and long life of Mr Altaf Hussain.

MQM offices in Azizabad and the adjoining areas of Nine Zero have been elaborately decorated with flags, buntings and lights on the occasion of the 66th Independence Day.

Similar ceremonies have also been held at all the local offices of the MQM throughout Pakistan.
